Information Systems have been a principal perspective for the progression of business for Hollister Co. since the opening July 2000. To incorporate the management of all data whether its internal or external, across the whole company. Here at Hollister Co., we use "IMS" and "CRM".

The Information System we researched was inventory management software also known as “IMS”. This is a software system for tracking inventory levels, orders, sales and deliveries. This helps avoid product overstock and outages. This is a tool for organizing inventory data that before was generally stored in hard-copy form or in spreadsheets. It can also be used in the manufacturing industry to create a work order, bill of materials and other production-related documents.

The second Information System used is Customer Relationship Management also known as “CRM”. This looks at data about current and future customers to help a company understand the customer better in hopes of retaining and building customer relationships. CRM streamlines the whole sales cycle, which brings about bringing bargains in your deals to a sales pipeline and aiding everybody in the sales team reach their targets quicker. Since order processing and planning cites is automated in CRM, sales teams can lessen production expenses and boosts sales revenue.

Social media is the utilization of data innovation to help the sharing of content among systems of clients. Social media empowers individuals to shape networks, or individuals bound by a typical intrigue. A social media information system underpins the sharing of substance between extensive systems of various clients. Hollister Co. utilizes stages, for example, blogs, where clients can talk about various items and services, Twitter, where customer service is given and utilized to declare new innovations, and Facebook where there is a wide-scope of opportunity for sharing between clients. Verbal exchange or word of mouth is extremely incredible and clients who get positive feedback and great client care, by means of these web-based life stages, will be progressively disposed to compose audits and tell others of their encounters with the organization.

The social media policy that representatives of Hollister Co. must follow isn't really strict. Just the social media managers alone can communicate for Hollister Co. They do not respond to negative comments via social media but they do interact/reply when a positive comment is made. And one of the biggest improvements that can be made are that these managers should reply to all comments and not the negative. Being engaged online is a way to always be in contact with the customer base and know how they feel.
